Leave Her to Heaven

The moving picture gets with a author Richard Harland being expelled after 2 years in prison. In a flashback (which runs for most of the length of the flick) we see how Richard assembles a beautiful socialite Ellen Berent on a train. They fall in love and get married. It bit by bit becomes apparent however that the married woman is pathologically over jealous and possessive towards any activity and any individual that her hubby cares about otherwise her.

Two disasters move the hubby and he starts to suspect his wife may be directly responsible. When she confesses to him, he goes forth her and she decides to kill herself, making sure that in doing so she anatomies her adopted sister Ruth for the apparent crime of slaying. During the run, the hubby stands up in courtroom and explains about his married woman’s insane jealousy. Pity is deported and Richard is condemned to 2 years in prison. The flashback ends and we see Pity recognizing Richard with a big squeeze.
